Lambton Park offers some of the most beautiful landscape in the country, right on our doorstep, and the Estate is home to numerous grand buildings.

The Park is the perfect mix of woodland walks, quiet roads and rolling fields, with a stunning backdrop of the Lambton Castle, which dates back to the 1820s.

Our main area is set in the Castle Ground – with spooky stories within the castle walls!

The River Wear runs through the site and can be viewed from The Wildlings Fields which will host the Circus Area, Bushcraft Tent and lots more.

The site is easy to access from the A1, off the A183 and the North East main line is within easy reach of the park with stations at Chester-le-Street, Durham and Newcastle, bringing London, Edinburgh, Inverness and Glasgow within commutable distance.

There are some ideal family walks which can all be accessed from the site including a 3.2km Ridge Walk with panoramic views across to Lambton Castle and Shepherd’s Ghyll, a 2.1km route which passes through woodland and open parkland, to the banks of the Wear;

“Lambton Estate is delighted to be working with the organisers of the Lindisfarne Festival to host a new family friendly music festival in the grounds of the Estate. The event will take place in summer 2022 and will be a new venture for both parties. The Estate very much looks forward to developing the event and welcoming people to the Estate in order to share in and enjoy the historic landscape.”
